Twelve Things I am Grateful for on the 12th

This month I am grateful for simple things.  Things I would struggle to live without.

  1. Breath  – and clean air to breathe
  2. Trees
  3. Water
  4. My home
  5. Electricity
  6. Natural gas
  7. Sewers
  8. Healthy, clean food
  9. Hair brush
  10. Soap
  11. Calculators
  12. And finally…my husband. Today is his birthday. I can’t imagine my life without him. 32 years together this month. I pray we get 32 more.

November 2012. he finished a “half distance” triathlon. 2 mile swim, 56 mile ride in the Arizona mountains followed by a half marathon.

The Accident was on August 12, 2013. For months the 12th brought me to tears. Then, about a year later, I decided to choose gratitude and healing rather than sorrow. Thus “Twelve Things I am Thankful for on the 12th”.

Gratitude, Marriage

I write about my life, my journey, my family, and my faith. I am wife to one, mom to seven with one in heaven, and grandmother to many. I am also full-time caregiver to my stepmom E who suffers from dementia due to Alzheimer’s. In my spare time I like to read, travel, crochet, bike, and play with our black pug Molly.
