“They” Said

“They” said:
It will take time.
You are in shock now, in 3-4 weeks it will hit you. HARD.
You will get angry.
You will find it hard to function.
This will be harder than anything you have ever done.
You will need help.
“They” were right.
“They” also said:
We will pray for you.
God will hold you up.
The Holy Spirit will comfort you.
You are loved.
We will help.
It will get better.
You will make it.
I hope “They” were right about those things as well.

“They” were right about those things as well.
We will pray for you. — People have prayed for us and continue to do so. I am praying for the families and other folks affected not only by this accident, but by any loss.
God will hold you up. — He is faithful and true. He sustains me.
The Holy Spirit will comfort you. — I have felt His comfort daily.
You are loved. – I AM LOVED! Some many have shown me that. My friends, strangers, my husband, my children, my family. Thank you all for loving me. And for loving Jesus by loving me.
We will help. – You have helped! Your words, kind glances, cards, emails, FB posts, pictures you post and stories of Andrew. We could not have pulled off such an amazing memorial service without your help.
It will get better. — It is better. We will always miss Andrew. But the pain is not constant. The weeping is not daily. The sorrow is not so unbearable.
You will make it. – Yes, Lord, yes.
