Facebook conversation from the other night:
Me: Sitting here waiting for my kids to come home. Alas, they are home. It’s just that MY home is no longer their home.
But our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Philippians 3:20-21
— feeling bummed.
My Husband: True, AND the Kingdom of Heaven is NOW among us. Immanuel, God is now with us. Christ in you (now), the hope of glory. In him we live and move and have our being (today). Today is the day of salvation (healing, restoration, transformation).
Already here, AND not yet completed.
If I do not participate in His Kingdom today, will I recognize or enjoy it in the next life?
Me; Yes, the kingdom is among us, but our HOME is in heaven. I was thinking about how I felt about my kids not being in my home anymore. All of them. They are where they are supposed to be – living on their own and doing grown-up things – but some day, we will all be HOME
. No more sorrow, no more pain, no more tears. Yes, we have eternal life beginning today, and I am grateful for that. We can access healing, restoration and transformation today. I also look forward to the final transformation.
My Husband: Sometimes that “not yet” part is overwhelming. Love you.
I love this man
