Times are changing, time is money, it’s just a matter of time, there’s no time like the present, and as we all know, the third time is – say it with me – a charm.

A stitch in time saves nine (whatever that means). We can kill time, track time, spend time, save time, pass the time, be pressed for time, and waste time. Time is precious, time flies, time is of the essence, and only time can heal a broken heart. Wait. Are we sure about that? We hear it all the, well… time. When we are grieving… Read more…

Christianity, healing, time

I write about my life, my journey, my family, and my faith. I am wife to one, mom to seven with one in heaven, and grandmother to many. I am also full-time caregiver to my stepmom E who suffers from dementia due to Alzheimer’s. In my spare time I like to read, travel, crochet, bike, and play with our black pug Molly.

  • I don’t think 20 years of time “healed” my mom’s wound when my dad died. She could still shed tears from missing him all those years later. But she told me once that being alone drew her to know the Lord in a way she had never thought possible while Dad was still alive, and for that she was grateful. I think time can ease the pain. Life does go on. But I agree with the author–it is God Who heals us.

A stitch in time saves nine means that, if you repair a small tear in your jeans in time, it won’t cause a bigger tear and more stitching. Mmm. Nowadays people are stupid enough to buy torn clothes!

Dr Pain is a good surgeon!

Shunned, ousted, assaulted, arrested, persecuted, became homeless – at the hands of the CHURCH!! Became disabled, rejected. Father’s Day: I saved up to buy an hour’s airtime at a flat rate of fifty cents, a fortune in my economy. My call was rejected four times!! The hour expired, wasted. Pain.

Do no embrace pain, but use it as fertilizer for growth.

Time does not heal wounds, our Father does, if we let Him. Even so, it sometimes does take time. Time itself is no healer, though.
