Random Marriage Lesson
I love that we have been married long enough for me to say after ten miles of riding in the heat and wind, “I’ll sit in the shade and rest while you ride the hills. See you in 45 minutes.” And Ron is comfortable enough to listen and believe me.
He rode on with the other guys — an extra ten hilly miles and they looped back to ride the ten miles home with me.
Random marriage lesson:
Ladies – learn to say what you mean and don’t expect him to try to read between the lines or to read your mind. He is not that smart.
Husbands – treat her with honor and respect. If she wants you to stay with her do so. If she says go on, she may need to … uhm … “Go” behind a tree and doesn’t want your riding buddies to know. ☺️

I agree. Thoughts are not meant to be read. You have to use your words. I have known my husband for 32 years and we have been married for almost 2 years. He knows my heart not my random thoughts.

Kathleen, wiser words were never spoken: “…don’t expect him to try to read between the lines or to read your mind.” Thanks for making me smile again.

Wendy,
I’m glad it made you smile! My life, even on 100 degree biking days, is good. Not too exciting, but good. My prayer is that folks see that even after tragedy, we can still have joy.
Life does go on! I choose to be a part of life in Christ!

Yes, Kathleen, and I’m learning to experience joy in the waiting rooms of life too. 🙂 Christ brings abundant life here and now.
