Dear Mommas…
Dear Mommas of challenging children,
Have you prayed for you kids today?
I don’t mean the “Oh, God! Don’t let me kill anyone today” prayers. Although, if you need to pray that, please do. And then count to ten, take a deep breath, and try again.
I mean praying for your child to grow in grace and knowledge of the Son of God. Have you prayed this for your challenging child today?
It doesn’t take much time or energy. It just takes intent. Be intentional in praying for your challenging child. Try praying this passage over you child today:
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:9-11 | NIV
Love and prayers,
An empty-nester who wonders if there is such a thing as a child who never challenges his mom’s sanity.

Thank you. This is an old picture. From 2010. But I love it.

I have five siblings. My mother did a yearly Christmas card and tried (emphasis on tried) to get creative with the shots. I look at those photos now and laugh! Your photo is perfect.
