When we travel, we eat out almost every meal. I am grateful for good food and restaurants where I can make healthy choices. I don’t always eat right, but I’m glad I have choices.

Lord,

Thank you for those who serve others. For the restaurants and other businesses that make my life easier. Help me to appreciate those who serve and treat them kindly, especially the next few weeks as the holiday shoppers make life hard for those who work in restaurants and retail. Help me to love these people with the love of Christ.

Amen

When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and glorify him at once. Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.’ A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

The Accident was on August 12, 2013. For months the 12th brought me to tears. Then, about a year later, I decided to choose gratitude and healing rather than sorrow.

This month, I am taking the “Thanksgiving Challenge” and am posting Twelve Things I Am Grateful for in November each day for thirty days.

  1. The closer it gets to the Holidays, the more tearful I become. I pray every day that God will help me and my grandson get through the Holidays. I try to be good and helpful to everyone each day.
