Photo 101 Day 6: Connect

Texting is not easy for me.

I’m slow and clumsy when I text. I like to use proper punctuation and grammar. I don’t use shorthand like”UR” and “ty”. Plus I alway end up adding an extra b at the end of a sentence when I mean to add a period. And don’t even get me started on autocorrect!

I prefer a phone call. I like to connect with people by hearing their voice, their laughter, their tone. Some much can be missed and mistaken in text messages that is much better communicated in a phone call.

Last night we stayed in the historic Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C. The phone in today’s photo is a modern replica of a old fashioned dial phone. It reminded of the one my grandparents had. It also reminded of an old song by Manhattan Transfer.

I’m glad to don’t have to use a telephone to connect with God. He hears my every prayer and understands my every need. He is available 24/7 and wants me to come to Him with my problems, fears, and joys.
