Up for a Challenge?
In March of this year, I participated in a WordPress Photo 101 class. We had photo assignments each weekday for four weeks. I also participated in their week long Commenting Bootcamp during which we learned about commenting etiquette and were encouraged to comment on other blogs. I found both classes fun and challenging! I took them to learn new skills. An added benefit was all the new blogging friends I made!
This month, I have been participating in the A-Z Challenge. Again, I got out of my comfort zone and was challenged to write about topics I don’t usually choose.
I enjoyed these so much that I decided to create a challenge for the month of June. I’m calling it: June 1-30 Challenge
Everyone is invited to participate! There is no registration, no fees! All you need to do is follow this blog so you will get the prompts each day. You can comment on this post to let others know you are joining in, and you can reblog this post to invite others to accept the challenge.
Everyone is encouraged to comment on each day’s challenge with a link to their post. You are also encouraged to visit other blogs to read and comment on their answers to the challenges.
Below is a sneak peak at the first few days’ challenges. Maybe they will whet your appetite and encourage you to join the June 1-30 Challenge!
The full list of prompts will be posted on or before May 25 so you will have time to work on your posts.
Welcome to the June 1-30 Challenge!
For entire month of June, you will be given a challenge each day that relates to the date of the month. Challenges can be met by writing an article, a fictional story, poetry, or opinion piece. You can even share a photo that answers the prompt. You choose how you want to meet the day’s challenge. Be creative!
I will post the each day’s challenge the evening before as a reminder. You can post a link to your article in the comments for the post explaining each day’s challenge.
Note: Saturdays are Photo Challenge days. You may want to keep you cameras (or phone camera) with you throughout the week to get your shots and do the editing and posting on Saturday. Adding photos to your posts adds interest, so take this opportunity to get some great shots to add to your media library.
Be sure to tag each post with “June 1-30 Challenge”.
Day 1 One Piece of Advice
Share one piece of advice. It can be about anything!
What one piece of advice would you give your teenage self? What would you tell a couple about to get married or have a baby? What one piece of advice did someone give you that you’d like to pass on to others? What one piece of advice would you give a new blogger? Share some wisdom!

I’m in! Looking forward to concentrating on writing again. Real life has this way of interfering with my hobby!

I would like to take part in this challenge, but I don´t know how much I will be able to do, because I will have an operation on my knee on the 3rd of June, so I will be in hospital for at least 10 days, and at a reha facility afterwards if everything goes as planned. So I really don´t know if I will have an internet connection at all or the time to do it. But if it´s ok if I only do the occasional post, I will be glad to join in the fun.

Absolutely! Just do what you can!
I’ll be posting the list of prompts tomorrow. You could start working on posts before your surgery and schedule them to publish on the right days. When you do have Internet, be sure to add a link to your post in the comments.
I’ll be praying for a speeding recovery.

This certainly looks very interesting, Kathleen. And I’m gearing up for this 🙂

I think it will be fun!
I promised myself that I would come up with a list of great prompts and that I would NOT cheat by working ahead.
Some of the prompts have me a bit concerned! I’m not sure what I will write for them! But I think more talented and creative bloggers will love them! I’m excited to see what folks come up with!
I’m glad you’re joining in on the fun.

Oh, don’t worry Kathleen! This will be great and a success.

This looks like tons of fun! Is part of the challenge to post every day, or can we join on the prompts/days that we have time to write them?
KathleenBDuncan
There are daily prompts. But you can do as many or as few as you like.
