Last Meme, I promise…

Last meme, I promise…at least for now.

Sometimes I want to scream at Facebook!

I did with this one! I screamed, “THEY ALSO DONT TELL YOU THAT THE HARDEST PART OF MOTHERHOOD IS WHEN ONE OF YOUR KIDS DOESN’T GET TO GROW UP!

I recently told a friend, “I’m tired of death!”

First all our parents died within a few years of each other, then our son, then so many friends! Now we have at least six friends with terminal cancer. Yuck.

But God…

Don’t you just love the “But God” passages?

But God who is rich in mercy made us alive in Christ. And Christ, through His death and resurrection has conquered death!

For now, we don’t get to see it all. For now, we still suffer and grieve and mourn. But one day! But one day, we will get to see Him face to face! We will join our kids and loved ones before the throne and worship the Creator as we have never done before! One day there will be no more tears, no more death, no more sorrow, and no more pain!

Until then, how shall we live? How shall we live while we’re waiting?

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

 Ephesians 4:1-3 |ESV

  1. Yes, I am dreading all the facebook messages of moms who are crying because they are “losing” their kids to college. The best I have seen so far “how will I make it without them”. I so want to post back, SHUT UP! At least your kid is only miles away at a college, not under ground with a headstone that I will never see again until we meet in Heaven. I have very little tolerance for those parents now a days. So I hear you quite clearly.

    Thanks for this post!
