Grief, Loss of a child

KathleenBDuncan

I write about my life, my journey, my family, and my faith. I am wife to one, mom to seven with one in heaven, and grandmother to many. I am also full-time caregiver to my stepmom E who suffers from dementia due to Alzheimer’s. In my spare time I like to read, travel, crochet, bike, and play with our black pug Molly.

  • This is the best I have ever read since the death of my 20 year old son almost 3 years ago. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to share with my friends and family.

  • From one bereaved mum to another x I totally get where you are coming from. Thanks for sharing your heartfelt words on grief of losing your child. We lost our 20yr old son Jacob last Oct after a short 13month battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma. The full moon gets me everytime, I can tell if it’s coming up to a full moon just the way the grief hits me 🙁 and the tears come & I ‘own’ them as they flow. No parent should outlive their children, it’s just not the way its meant to be.
