Musings
If I really want to love someone, I need to hear what they have to say; I need to listen with the objective of understanding, not rebuking, answering, or arguing.
If I am walking in the Spirit, their opinions will not cause me anger, but a desire in me to love them, share Jesus and truth with them, and to find common ground.
If I am being led by the Spirit, the opinion of others will be just that – an opinion. Not a reason to slander them or call names.
If I love others as Jesus loves me, I will listen with patience and love them even though we don’t see eye to eye. I will look for the good in them and love them because I am loved.
If I really want to love, I will forgive much because I have been forgiven much.
