Do the next right thing

Saturday we attended the funeral of a dear friend. He won his four-year battle with brain cancer. Jesus is victorious over death.

As I sat in the church I thought, “I’m so looking forward to Reunion Day! Until then, we have work to do here. Good work that God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Ladies, God put us here to do good works. If we are still alive, we have a job to do in the Kingdom of God, for the Kingdom of God.

He goes before us and guards us, through thick and thin. He never leaves us. We are His sheep and nothing can snatch us from His hand.

I’m praying for all who grieve, all who are struggling, all who feel unworthy tonight. May we all rest in Jesus and sleep peacefully tonight. May we wake ready to face another day on planet and go do what He called us to do. May we reach out and love a hurting and dying world in the Name of Jesus!

Today, for me, the next right thing is to drive east to see the grandkids!

I’m taking my 71+ year old stepmom with me on this week-long road trip! She’s not yet met a couple of the grandkids! How fun!
Some days we grieve.

Some days we rejoice.

Every day we can see God’s hand if we look.

  1. Death is never easy for those of us left behind here to grieve, but I love the way you are taking this and reminding us of Jesus’ victory over death. For we need not fear it if He is in our hearts. Well penned, and my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of mourning.
