Smile Cry
A friend of my son’s posted a picture of the two of them together with the caption, “Sweet memories. Sweet, sweet memories.”
One of my other sons commented, “Thanks for making me unexpectedly tear up.”
Honestly, I teared up when I saw the picture. As I sometimes do when I see a picture of him having a wonderful time with friends.
In their conversation, this gal said, “it made me smile cry when it popped up this morning.”

That’s it! That’s what this is called! A memory so sweet! yet it reminds us they are gone. Smile Cry. I like this term. I’m going to use it. A lot.
This photo makes me Smile Cry. He loved performing with his friends. He loved being on stage.

“Smile cry” – what a great way to describe the happy-sad reaction to precious memories.
