One of these things is not like the other…
I needed this reminder this week. I wrote it a couple of years ago.
Grief has hit me in odd ways this week. No tears. No sorrow. Just a feeling of not wanting to function. A desire to be a hermit. I don’t want to fold laundry or eat or leave my house.
But I’ve chosen to fold and put away laundry., and even vacuum! I’ve chosen to eat and leave my house to go to a Bible study. I’m choosing to get on my bike later today even though I’d rather watch movies on Netflix.
We cannot change our circumstances but we can choose to work on changing our attitude and we can choose to do the little right thing. This choosing can be a first step in our healing.
