A Subaru Would NOT Have Made Difference
I don’t like the Subaru commercial “They Lived” for obvious reasons. It came on last night and brought up strong emotions.
Times like that remind me all the more that I must keep my eyes on Him, remember His Truth, and control my choice of thoughts. If a commercial or show, movie or book causes me to stumble, get angry or have resentments or doubts…I should walk away, shut the book, close the door…

I haven’t seen the ad, but this picture literally makes me feel sick. My daughter was in a serious accident when she was 16, and still experiences the effects of it at age 40. Looking at this pic reminded me of going to the salvage yard to look at the car she was driving when she was hit. I shouldn’t have. Yes, she survived, but seeing the car drove home to me how seriously she was hurt.

The commercial shows lots of folks saying, “They lived!” as the see the crushed Subaru. It implies that the Subaru is the reason they lived.
I never saw pictures of The Accident site or the car. I have no desire to see them. Ever.

It accomplishes nothing.

I hadn’t thought about how this commercial could be so hurtful. Thank you for the Kingdom perspective. Hugs from north Jersey.

Thank you.
Is it beautiful there this time of year? I’ve been through Jersey in the fall and it’s lovely!

I think so! We have beaches, mountains, farmland, cities…something for everyone!
