I write about my life, my journey, my family, and my faith.
I am wife to one, mom to seven with one in heaven, and grandmother to many. I am also full-time caregiver to my stepmom E who suffers from dementia due to Alzheimer’s.
In my spare time I like to read, travel, crochet, bike, and play with our black pug Molly.
Well, Happy New Year Miss Kathleen!
Just before Christmas there was a Women’s shelter that burnt to the ground (out here in California – along with many other dwellings) and I cleaned out a couple of closets. I had nice clothing from my mum and my mother-in-law, after their passings and I was waiting to sell the nicer items, but I added those to a couple of boxes of clothing and shoes I no longer wear and gave them to the ladies and any of their children that left the shelter with just the clothing on their backs. So next is another going through of my clothing for anything that I wore after the breaking of my leg – not because it brings me “bad memories”, no, because I am in much better health and shape and these items are too big for me! So, after work today I will be building another give away box.

I’ve learned that can only clean up my side of the closet…and the kitchen and laundry room and attic and garage.

Often that’s the way God’s economy works: we have things we don’t need while others need the very things we have.
