I wrote this to a friend earlier today. He was my son’s friend. He is now my friend. And he’s grieving the loss of yet another friend.
I thought I’d share it with you.
Are you grateful for the grief and trials in your life? If so, why? Please share in the comments.
Grateful and grief are not two words I normally use in the same sentence. But I’ve been thinking about your post for awhile and must agree, grief and trials have enabled and even empowered me to be a more reflective, purposeful, and driven person. Losing someone you love brings an urgency and sharper edge to life. You want to live well and intentionally in your loved one’s honor.

Thanks, David. If my posts cause you to think I’ve succeeded.
