“Early on in this journey, I saw how many of those in the Bible had their children die before them, starting with Eve.
They experienced grief, yet they still trusted God. They knew His character — His kindness, joy, mercy, grace, justice, and compassion.
And He knew how much they loved their children. He loves His Son much more than a human can: He is perfect Love. They had been together since before they foundations of the world. They are One.
But He loves us so much that He was willing to have Jesus die for us. That is hard to comprehend. This took on a whole new meaning for me when my son died. I finally understood the sacrifice the Father made in giving His Son — His only child — for us!
Do you see it?
God loves YOU so much that He, a father, freely gave His Son to die for you! Through his love and sacrifice of Christ, we can become His child! He has the love of a parent for you!
If you have lost a child, think of the love you have for your child and how much you miss him or her. How much you want to spend time, just a few more moments with them! God desires to spend time with us even more.
What a beautiful way to help us understand His love for us!”
